This Vietnamese Mao Feng from Ban Lien is also called a red tea by the local tea farmers. Although the Mao Feng usually is classed as a green tea, the Golden Monkey is a black tea as it is processed differently.
It is only harvested in May and from October to November. The aromatic and mild taste of this tea is down to the temperature drop from day to night.The dark hazel brown cup unfolds an intense, fine malty scent with sophisticated sweet fruity notes.
