White Tea

White tea comes from the leaves and the buds of camellia sinensis tea plant from China. Like green tea the leaves are only a bit oxidised. It has its name from the silvery-white hair of the buds which gives the tea a bit whitish appearance. The brewed tea itself has a light yellow colour.

The fresh tea leaves are left to wither in sunlight and then get dried.

White tea is known for its health benefits as is green tea. White tea has even more antioxidants. White tea as green tea are said to help to protect against certain types of cancer. It is also boosts the cardiovascular functions.
